Still Having a Ball Presents "Reading is a Ball."
- "We wanted to emphasize 'family' this year and this fun program entertained our entire audience." Margaret Korenski, Vigo Co. Library, Terre Haute, IN.
- Their show uses juggling and other circus arts to present a visual example developing the theme that you can learn anything through reading.
- They learned to juggle in their late 30's from a book entitled "Juggling for the Complete Klutz".
- There is slapstick humor for kids to enjoy and more sophisticated comedy for adults.
- Although theirs is very much a "soft sell," they have the undivided attention of the children and are amazed with what is retained from their programs.
- Having books available about juggling, magic, cat's cradles, etc., would tie in nicely with their show.
- They have been married for over 41 years, are "Still Having a Ball", and they will help your library have one too!
We did our first library program that took advantage of our free juggling lesson. It was one of their best attended programs. (Note: They did a superb job of promoting the program.)
From "String Games" by Camilla Gryski.
(Unless specifically requested the jester costume will not be used for this program.)
Feel free to invite area libraries to send a representitive to see the show.
